If you haven't signed up and explored Goodreads, you're seriously missing out. I log everything I read. That way, if I hear about a book and I think "huh, have I read it?" I can check my book list to answer the quandary. (And I can learn why it was so forgettable by reminding myself how many stars I rated it.)
I've especially enjoyed reading some titles I wouldn't normally read because of recommendations from the site. Goodreads also links up to my library's digital site, so I can connect the two accounts to help populate my hold list (thank you Montgomery county librarians for picking books off the shelves for me, I really do appreciate it!).
There is also the annual reading challenge, where you publicly declare for all Goodreads members to see how many books you want to read that year. I surpassed my goal last year by 6 books (yay me!), so I upped my goal for this year to 40 books. Commuting to work on the bus has allowed me to read so much more than ever in my adult life!
If you sign up for Goodreads, let's be friends, so I can see what you're reading (and enjoying).
I swear, Goodreads knows nothing about this post. I just think it's a great site and want to pass on the wonderful tool to whoever is reading this!
